Ss: Plein Air 5to630 Sat 02.11.23

I painted from my porch looking at the street beyond, the big internal apartment on the left side and the huge pine tree at the garden at right. Behind the big apartment are laundry now dried. I saw the mountain far away & the roof of neighbors on the left & right. The neighbors greenery were shown crowning the metal front gate. The sky was melting with blues and yellows! I was intimated into doing this scenery. I realized that the scene was just a combination of shapes and colors. The fear of doing this was replaced by a joy of choosing the right textures, brush stroke

& values. And twilight arrived @ 6:30 p.m.& the newly installed solar post kicked into light! Time for dinner!

  1. Susan, these are the best vacation memories. Years from now, you'll remember exactly what you saw and smelled and felt when you painted this.

  2. Right, all paintings are colors and shapes and what they portray is not that important.
