One more glaze to adjust values, a few added details like telephone lines, and it's morning in the alley.

From there, I returned to my panorama paper for this painting of a statue in the Boston MFA. It's slow going, detailed and meditative, but I want it to convey my impression of the gallery rather than being painstakingly realistic. We'll see if I can achieve that!

Looking back between before and after the glaze, I have to say it perked it up considerably. I think you should pause the leaves to find out how they interact with the Buddha.
