The turtle


Not sure where this is going.  I kind of liked it, but I wasn't sure where to go so I worked around the edges adding more and more dark color thinking I could sort of sneak up on that light center, but it was really not going anywhere so spent the last half hour in class putting in rose,  I guess I will add still more and see how it goes.  Going out of town for three days so that should give me time to think.

    I like this one a lot. Love the greens--you have such a fine touch with perylene green--and the gradation from the center to the edges. I also have to admit that the rose was a good idea!

    Love the depth of those veins. Maybe your best ones yet. Do not lose all the highlights as you feel compelled to eliminate all white areas.

    Yes, add some rose mixed with green but don’t lose all the white areas. Just rein them in a bit. Also think about adding a little variation to the veins….

    This is a strong one, Ken. But I don't think you should call it "Turtle." I agree with Sara about varying the yellow veins a bit. Now what will he do with all that white...?
