Rhapsody in blue

Well not a rhapsody, more like the sound of the garbagemen in the early morning banging cans around.  But it's early yet.  I have three goals here, to experiment with all the blues on my palette, to use only dagger brushes, and to somehow pull it all together to make another masterpiece.  Goals one and two are coming along just swell, number three not so much.  We we will see what we will see.

  1. I think you have this upside down, Ken. Or maybe not; while it no longer looks like rays in a tunnel, it now looks like an abstracted reindeer, so maybe more seasonal. Seriously, I like the idea of playing with your blues. Really have some fun and remember to give cobalt a chance to shine.

  2. Ha ha! Even before I read Elaine’s comment, I saw that reindeer too! But there is something ethereal about this as well — the white light, the blue sky…I find myself humming “Star of wonder, star of light, star with royal beauty bright….”

  3. Title: Reindeer Caught in the Headlights. Striking, isn't it, both title and the painting thus far. Plus, you've got a Christmas card in the making.
