Lost the profile because of the stupid bricks. Resorted once again to my magic brush. And then white gouache. Then to white acrylic. Finally the white gel pen came into play. Lesson learned…..when the face is small, not really necessary (or possible in my case) to worry about the nuance of color on skin. Now looking at it here, it appears the table is floating. Maybe it is!! You never know what will happen when Ken is painting. Happy New Year one and
all.
This came out great! The bricks make a perfect background and Ken, his art and his hat keep you bouncing around the image. Don't worry about the table. We know what it is and don't need more detail down there. For all the media you used, you'd think this would look overworked--but it doesn't at all! And the hat makes it a lovely holiday painting!
ReplyDeleteI have to call it well done.
ReplyDeleteKen in action. Another great artist-at-work painting, Greeta. It al just works!
ReplyDeleteI really like the hair and beard!
ReplyDeleteHe looks great—maybe a tad too stylish….but intent on creating another masterpiece…!
