Greeta - Facebook Screenshots

Thinking about more color on parts of stone and why is the man’s right foot so enormous.......

The only person here who turned out looking anything like the photo is the mother. And my depiction of the father takes me back to the pictures I saw of fathers in elementary school books.

  1. These are very nice, Greeta, with their Chicago stone/brick facade backgrounds. His foot is bigger because that's the one closest to you - you know, like in foreshortening! And they really look like they're briskly walking.

By the way, I was commenting on your last post and all of a sudden it disappeared. Not just my comment, but you whole post. Do you know what happened to it?

  2. You also make great use of neutral colors, especially in your backgrounds in these paintings. You really captured a sense of movement in the first painting. I really like the little girl in front of the dad too in the second painting. Her posture and expression bring her to life.

  3. You've really caught the sense of these--both the people going about their business and the city. They are real people and you know it's Chicago. Love them.
