Yes, there is a lot going on--and you've got it all right! This is a lovely pet portrait with a lot of personality. Besides the mouth, I love the eyes, fur and posture.
Nice composition- the way the eyes are painted they really command your attention. And the black and brown of his fur has a real texture and depth.
Considering that it is not a cat, very good.
