Punkin time

Not that much different from the last time you saw it. Outlined the jellyfish a bit, separated the concentrics, put a little more paint in the feelers, and nothing came to me for about five minutes so I am calling it done.

Forgot my palette for class Saturday so had to pussyfoot around on a limited lifeboat palette, but now that I have this baby home I laid on the perylene green into the holes and now it is all making more sense to me.

  1. Couldn’t you call out the green squares in the background bringing them up in intensity? This is just not finished…Love the pumpkin tho….

  2. I love that pumpkin...somehow the dark eyes made the orange part seem flatter. I'll trust you to bring everything back into balance, though! Speaking of balance, I think the green in your first painting is calling out for more somewhere.

  3. I didn’t know that it was a jellyfish. I like odd numbers of color. Did you run out of orange, yellow and red? Or is this one of those new age highfalutin millennial punkins?

  4. There’s a photo of our decayed jack o lantern on my art table right now!! Yours has a lot of character.
