This is very nearly finished. It's of a tree in the process of being senselessly chopped down, along with three others once lining the block. The vibrant greenery is the top canopy that was removed. So sad...

A beautiful painting about a sad subject….there should an axe stuck in there somewhere…
ReplyDeleteOr blood, or sap, wine red and tricking down the rough bark like tears. But red is kind of healthy so I think I would prefer a little blue in the bark, about the shade of the lower part of those upper windows. I'd like to see what you do with that rough spot I remember from the photo at the bottom of the page.
