Halfway through realized this was the painting in #1, and I wanted to avoid repeating. Oh well. Wasn’t going to mess with the clothing but then I thought ….women put a little thought into what they wear when
they go to a museum with their girlfriends…so I need to spend some time on that.

Since you mentioned it, I went to look for the first Cezanne you did, but couldn't find it. Anyway, it hardly matters that you're repeating a Cezanne. The viewer/art interaction is the main subject and this one is fascinating. I like the shared contemplation concept and the way you add depth with the sliver of other areas. Also, kudos on how you handled the lacy poncho!
ReplyDeleteYes. The knit poncho is great and I watched it being painted. Well planned and executed.
ReplyDeleteThe ladies who paint…you have their posture, their clothing and their attitudes down to a T! Great addition to your series. Did you scroll down to see my photo suggestion?
ReplyDeleteI did see it and commented. But my comment isn’t there🙄. You paint it. It’s a good photo.
DeleteI also admire the lacy poncho. And I watched it being painted.
ReplyDeleteI sense a skepticism within the ladies. That woman with her hand on her hip is thinking, "Oh come on now."
ReplyDeleteIn another photo that woman has her arm up. Either she was exclaiming in admiration or saying “what is he doing here?” So u may be right. Fascinating since ww only see her back.
