I’ve done the preliminary work for this lily on Yupo.
Now I need to further define it by adding shadows and deeper color. I used an app called Notanizer to show me value differences so I’ll know what to work on to give the flower more definition.

ReplyDeleteWas trying to figure out how that notanizer thing worked because it looked so different from the photo but then I remembered red is darker than we think it is. That is a very nice photo, but it reminds me of that National Geographic thing where their photos are so good, you can only attempt to make it as good and you are never going to be able to even achieve that. Instead of doing all that background stuff, just stare at it for maybe ten minutes straight and then put it away and just go on what you remember. Of course I don't know if that will work either.
