Kids Reading to Dogs

My neighbor’s grandson from a FB post. And then my granddaughter sent me a pic of a girl she nannied during the pandemic.  Love that she put that blanket over the dog. I had never seen children do this so I googled “kids reading to dogs” and it’s a “thing”. An idea promoted as reading therapy to build confidence in children learning to read.

  1. Too cute! My favorite is the bottom one. She looks like she's playing teacher. And it's adorable the way she's showing the pictures to follow along. I love the blanket on the dog and the animals in the bookshelf cubes, too. If this is a new series, it's a good one.

  2. Fuzzier than your usual work, and nothing wrong with that, and let me stress, nothing wrong with your unfuzzy work either. Love the floor, wall, and chair of the first one.

  3. These are so interesting to look at partly because the subjects are children and dogs and the colors are kind of dark and muted, especially in the first one. The combination is unexpected and adds a little mystery

  4. Now that's something I never imagined: children reading to dogs, or dogs seemingly listening. You might be on to illustrating children's books, Greeta.
