Desert at Night with Cacti

This one was fun. Grabbed a National Geographic to a page that caught my eye, went at it for a few hours, called it done, walked home, and had fun noticing new things as it dried.
Really enjoyed our last few Saturday mornings together, folks. Looking forward to reconvening in a few weeks.

  1. Yup, mighty purty. I reckon the riders of the purple sage are finishing up their chow on the other side of that ridge and pulling out their guitars for a songfest that will have every saguaro swaying in times. Very nice, it captures the humanness of the cacti and the heavens above. Not 100 percent sure who the painter is.

  2. Bryan, this is awesome! It's both painterly and photorealistic at the same time. Love the movement in the sky and the texture in the cactus and foreground. I didn't see the reference photo, but I think I can safely say this is better!
