It's enjoyable to look at, though. The textures, colors and composition are all inviting. And some of the best bits are the owl and the lettering--down to the shadows--as well as the reflections on the glass. Very nice job
I like this very much. The bricks, the sign, reflections in the windows and door. Composition and colors. I guess this is the thing we will always wonder about you guys, I'm guessing gouache, gouache always looks so solid compared to wispy watercolors.
I like the way you painted the reflections in the windows, and the bricks, and the owl’s perch. There’s a lot going on in the details that balances all that green. Don’t try to figure out why you paint what you paint - it’s some deep seated psychological urge that you really don’t want to know about…like, Is St. Patrick’s Day your favorite holiday? Do you really like owls?…
