There might be some minor changes but I think it is pretty much done.
This is something I knocked out in the Thursday Cultural Center class. I had an old crusty pallet of mostly dark colors which I didn't remember which was which, but when I finished slathering and blotting I think it turned out pretty good, and I just wanted to show if off.
That second painting doesn't show up as well digitally as in person. In real life, it's positively luminous and I love it. I also like what you've done to unify the background in the Vuillard painting. Kudos on straightening the tablecloth but it may need to darken a bit to form more of a unit with the background...if only the drop portion.
ReplyDeleteThe large vase of flowers needs grounding, maybe with a slight shadow. It seems to be hovering just above the tablecloth….and the light edge of the paper on the left needs to be darkened. It’s distracting….I believe I gave the same advice to Vuillard and it worked for him!
