Still working on the masking-as-outline technique, this time with portraits. This just needs a few more tweaks before pulling the mask for the big reveal. I'll admit that I'm not sure how well this will work for a portrait. But you never know until you try—so come back next week and we'll see how it turns out.

  2. Kid looks very thoughtful, like he has just had an epiphany. I guess I'll have to see it with the mask removed. Are you going to leave the white or paint over it?

    1. Well, so far, I've just left it since it seems like the drawing is part of the painting. But I'm not averse to doing a little adjusting if something looks horribly wrong. I figure on crossing that line when I come to it. :)
