A new fish

I'm using a lot of watercolor pencil on this one to give it more texture,

  1. This one is going to be good. I really like the way you define the shape with the tiles. He looks 3D, but at the same time, he's definitely a flat mosaic. Just like the best of the old Roman mosaics.

  2. Hey, this looks like a new fish portrait, skinnier than the bream. Can't wait to see where he goes...

  3. I was going to comment on the strange crop until I realized it wasn’t cropped...he’s kind of angry looking...the tiles remind me of your corn series. Are you dipping the watercolor pencils in water and then drawing with them? I really want to like watercolor pencils, but find them hard to use....
