The first two are really nicely painted. The cone flowers would look good painted big imo.i like the figure to the left in #3, but the figure on the right is too dominant. It has beautiful colors but it reminds me of a muppet. But these are great explorations.
I really like the first two. The calm brushwork of the tree/pole is a nice balance to the more energetic brushwork of the flowers and sky. And the way the colors separate in the flowers of the second painting works well. I like the backlit quality of the third one, but I wonder if the two objects are too equal. I'm not quite sure what the right object is (a telephone pole overgrown with morning glories?), but I like the lacy quality of the plant on the left.

ReplyDeleteI like the energy of the coneflower painting. When you enlarge it, the colors really show out.
