Greeta, your portraits are so good! I like the way the sitters seem to engage with you. I don't know if he needs a background or not. I think he's fine the way he is, but a background never hurts...well, almost!
I love the boy’s expression— looking intently at the viewer as the viewer is looking at him! It’s a lovely painting!
Looks like two colors, though I guess you used more. Is that a very light tan wash in the background?
