Sketch to oil pastel to watercolor. This was instructive as I tried to emulate the oil pastel effect in watercolor.
Then today I did another version of this double portrait. I never really liked the way the first one was painted (see below). This one (above) is more the style I like —looser but still recognizable as humans….
