I like the blue window glass a lot and I'm sure you'll stumble upon the inspiration you need. You're almost losing Mr. Pigeon against the background and you don't want to do that!
Really love how the purple pigeon is painted - the intensity of colors, the mixture of color, almost like a pointillist painting. Pidg #2 needs a little of that cohesive intensity imo...
