Christmas 2020

The latest of the cocktail series. I’ve gone with a highball this time in a simple highball glass that I had to buy because I didn’t have any.   Watercolor on 140# cold press.

Back to Yupo.  Singer at Kwitzkey’s in Mississippi.  Not going this year but a fond memory.  I’ve tried this several times before but never liked it as much as this one.

  1. Your cocktail series is very cool. Usually, I learn about a new cocktail; this one is a blast from the past. At family parties, whichever uncle was hosting would ask, "Can I get you something? How about a nice highball?" And you're getting to be the glass master--the rim and base of that glass just sparkle--as do the lamp and the ice cubes.

The singer is great. Your color choices are spot on and I love the way the colors make paths through the picture. I'm especially fond of the highlight on the top of the guitar.

  2. Yar when my parents had this other couple over for card games while their kids and us watched Shock Theater they always drank highballs. Until my father got some kind of ice crushing device and then they drank Bacardis. They got a little sillier towards the end of the night when they were drinking the Bacardis.

Always like it when just a few of the letters of the name of the place are showing, Like the reflections of the interior in the windows.
