June 20, 2020 — Elaine O.

I've finished the painting of the Three Steves (although one is Steve, one is Stephen and one is Stevie). Now, I have to decide if I'll be doing a larger, final version.

  1. Wow, Elaine. You really put some work into this since last week. I think it looks great, colors, composition, and facial expressions. Plus the little pictures on the wall. What size is it, if you're thinking of going larger?

  2. It’s great Elaine! I love how the blue carries thru from the drapes thru their shirts. And the paintings on the wall adds balance. Yes, how big are you going?

  3. I see kind of a flag motif, there is the flag on Stephen(?)'s shirt and a rippling blue going through the shirts of the other two Steve's. By the way which Steve is which?

    1. Left to right, they are Stevie, Stephen and Steve. Not what you expected, is it? Actually the outer two both go by Steve. Stevie was what all the nieces and nephews called him when they were young and it stuck. Stephen didn't see himself as a Steve; he liked Stevie, but said that since that was taken, he'd go with Stephen. And so he has... until recently when his nephew started calling him Steefa.

  4. Love the composition and how they are all leaning in toward one another. You've really captured each Steve's personality!
