But I don’t know mine. As a “know it all” teenager, I avoided taking geometry and I missed it on this one. I saved the white on the building to the left using tape and now it still looks like tape even though I put some dirty water on it. This one looks good from a distance. Maybe I’ll fix the sky

The building looks fine, it is a bit irregular because it is so far away. All and all a damn good job.
ReplyDeleteI like the way the buildings are painted. They have Great texture for the bandshell curls to play off of. The curls need to be unified a little more in color imo, but overall I really like the color palette f the whole painting. Mr. Peter’s was my geometry teacher. I wish I had paid more attention to his class.
ReplyDeleteThe building looks a bit beat up because it is so far away. Good job on the Amoco or whatever they are calling it these days. All in all very good work.
ReplyDeleteI like the building treatment; you use texture instead of detail and that's exactly what you'd see in a distant building. Besides, they're meant to be background and contrast for the metal curls, right? I agree with Sara that they could be more consistent in color, or maybe the same contrasty look, but within the panels so they look more metallic. I love the composition and the minimal palette.
