I like both but the second is excellent. More abstract. Trees or fireworks or…like it when you’re not sure.
ReplyDeleteI really like that second one too. There's such lovely mystery and a sense of sunlight filtering through a leaf canopy in a forest on a summer day. Nice composition, too. I love that you did a ha ha fence on the first one! I like the color, too, but I'm not sure why there is water at the top of the fence? Or am I seeing it wrong? And are the little ones going to be bookmarks? Studies for larger pieces? Just play? Anyway, there's some nice texture going on there.
ReplyDeleteThat's um, the top of the ha ha (commonly known as the he he) facing directly up and therefore garnering more sunshine. You know I spent about six hours on each of those little guys, the same amount of time it used to take me to do an 18x24. But I have a ball doing them. I feel like I am peeking through a key hole of the doors of perception. No really. Those little guys are just me playing in the mud.
