Overall, this winter scene turned out pretty well. Really like the snow and the background. My fall tree paintings were not too successful, so I have to think about them for a while.
This is incredible. It's got that soft snowy feel of a winter twilight with light spilling out from the warm and cozy house. I can feel the cold and the quiet. Great composition, great values, great use of color for focus—just perfect.
I knew it would be good. Great composition and use of values to tell the simple story.

ReplyDeleteSunshine lighting up the little leaves while from the background Old Man Winter's boots crunch ever louder. Like those purple foreground shadows too.
