I’ve been watching some landscape painting videos and have a hankering to do some landscapes so I’m going there while keeping up with the exercise.
Yes and yes to the portraits! Both have such a monumental quality and there's just enough that's been done to completely describe you without going that one step too far. The little images—I feel they're small daily exercises. Am I right? I hope so as at a small-ish size, they have an intimacy that adds to the painting. I like the splash of red against all the brown and the depth that the winding path achieves. Looking forward to the landscapes!
