May 2, 2026 — Elaine O.

This is one of those slow and steady paintings. Hours of work...no big changes. Still, I'm having fun. Right now, I'm working my way in towards the center, which is the opposite of my usual MO; we'll see how that works over the coming weeks.

  1. I like this a lot. I like that speckled sidewalk and the comparatively wide stripe of the sidewalk and the eeny teeny shops and street almost pushed to their little strips above and below. For some reason I expect that there is some kind of crime taking place down there like that scene of the corner where that guy by the store was clearly up to no good. Well, clearly to me.

I would like the sidewalk to be relatively wide and open compared to the street and the shops, but you are the artist, so carry on.

  2. This is intriguing. The sides look great, lots of color and shapes…but there’s a big chunk of sidewalk n the middle…but as Ken points out: you’re the artist, so carry on!
