Merry Christmas to all

My first version of this was too tidy, order had triumphed and it was, well, boring.  I took a wet brush to it and brought chaos back and was pleased, bit then I went back and tidied up a few things.  Too many things, boring order had returned. so I wet my brush again and had at it and didn't do any tidying afterwards.

This an attempt at an abstract that was going nowhere.

So I decided to wash it off and start anew, but halfway through that process I liked the way it looked and stopped then and there.

This was almost done, mostly just added texture to that background.

And Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

  1. That abstract still maintained its structure after you cleaned it. The glow of the windows is special.

  2. I absolutely love the second-to-last one. It's so rich. I also like the wreath a lot. There seems to be a glow emanating from the center. I'm not sure about the posts on the side, though. The first two are great testaments to letting Yupo do its thing without trying too hard for control. I hope Santa brings you more Yupo. You have an affinity for it.

  3. The Xmas card and the coneflower one above it are really beautiful. I just wish the Xmas card had a little more green in the wreath to define it. The blues and greens on the coneflower one have more definition - that’s what I’d like to see on the wreath. Hope Santa brings you big yupo!

  4. Looking good, Ken. It's Yupo on your Christmas list from Santa, that's for sure. The windows much improved, the washed out one couldn't be better, the haloed flower landscape is good to go, the wreath looks better, but could use some brightening up around the edges and on the greenery itself.
