1. This is a vase on London House that I see watching sunrises. I like that window thing but I think the vase needs more substance.
These are the IBM windows, need something so that the windows will not look so identical and will have some loose pattern.
This is mainly a practice page. I like the patterns, especially that olive green under the hard line a little below the middle.
I was watching a doc last night about the Renaissance and I think the Madonnas and saints inspired me.
The practice page had some nice Yupo moments. Need to work on a blending technique to incorporate those halos into the painting. The background looks great though.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that the colors are so much more vibrant and luminous in person. Anyway, that last one does look like a stained glass window. It's wonderful! I also like the third one--again, more in person than on screen. I agree with you about liking the windows on the London House. Maybe the vase seems too precise and lacks the texture of the rest of the painting. Same with the windows...it seems to work better when you let Yupo help you paint instead of being entirely in control. On the whole, though, I still think you and Yupo are made for each other.
ReplyDeleteReally like the last two. The horizontal layers remind me of layers of the earth’s crust. Or maybe a Mark Rothko on crack…the background on the last one is lovely, all those greens…hope santa brings you some big yupo for Xmas….
