Welcome to our exhibit!

We're truly proud of Second City Watercolors.

This is an exhibit of paintings by artists who come together to paint on Saturday mornings. Some have been meeting and painting for nearly 20 years; some have joined more recently. Each of us paints our own impression of our city in our own style. The people, places and things in our paintings that make up our world clearly reflect our personal views.

In future entries, we'll take an up-close-and-personal look at our artists. We'll see a few paintings and learn a little bit about one artist each week. We hope you come back to learn more about us.

Here are some photos of our artists with their work at the gala opening.

The night before, October 1, there was a group show featuring Susan Alforque Silvano (artwork being examined here) exhibiting her watercolors in the window of the Walgreens at Washington and Michigan and at the Phillipine Consulate.

Also opening on October 1 at Dittmar Gallery of Northwestern University, Evanston was Patricia Otto's solo show, Caged Dresses, Floating Kimono. Two fans are seen enjoying her artwork here.
