I’ve been there but can’t place it now. There r clues. That’s a bridge house behind the bus shelter then that curvy road …is that the lake out there…...Maybe Uncle Ken will know. At first there was just a dark shadow but a figure revealed itself. This must have been at dawn. Where r all the cars?

I think that is upper East Wacker Drive on the south side of the river where it curves around to the left. Has kind of a thirties look to it like that one you did of the guy walking along Wacker on a cold winter night. I like the colors and the air of noir mystery. Could be the cover of a Raymond Chandler paperback.
ReplyDeleteI thought Wacker too because of the curve.
DeleteI agree. There's a story here. I really like paintings that do that. The colors are great and I love the composition and the way it leads the eye.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, moody cityscape, Greeta. Like a mystery waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteI know this image. I tried painting it a couple of times but the results were so muddy I didn’t even show it! You did a much better job. I think it’s a very manipulated photo because there’s no way that big building on the left (Sheraton hotel) would be reflected in the puddle in front of the lamppost. It’s like 4 blocks away!
ReplyDeleteI tried to find where the photo came from but couldn’t. I wondered what that shadow was from…i thought it was from bus signs.
