I finished the landscape, which is a big deal considering my inactivity these past 3 months. I think starting it during our Zoom meeting helped. Painting is a very social activity for me!
I think this one has a greeting card feel to it.

I don't get "greeting card" at all. There's a definite atmosphere here and you've evoked a mood in the viewer, so it's a success. Also, I love some of the technical details, like the ice on the cabling and the edges where surf meets sand and where sand meets land.
ReplyDeleteGreetings to your watercolor, Elaine. Although I don't see it as a "card" either. It does look like the lake this winter, though. Crisp and cold and still colorful. The contrast between land and water is remarkable.
