Oh, yes--now we're really hitting our stride. I love these. The cone is so deep and rich, not to mention the shape and the way the light plays on it. And the second one is so wonderfully moody. That sky is magnificent--don't lose that!! And the way the dying petals fall is so evocative. These are really fine pieces.
That sky, you know I just splashed down indigo and turquoise, and a touch of cobalt on wet yupo almost randomly, patted it down under a paper towel and repeated the process once it dried, and this is what came out. I also like it a lot but I really can't take credit. Am pretty sure that it will stay.
Hey, you're getting pretty good at this, Ken. Some different colors than the usual. Different size and shape markings. Differing values, in fact, quite a range of them. I think you're going places now. ps: of course you can take credit for it, you did it, appreciated it, and let it be.
These are amazing. Love the second one the most— that moody sky, the varied structure of the flowers—all your testing and meandering thru the fields has paid off!. Love the texture of the big coneflower too.
