The big fish, actually. the closest fish, is just about done. I added his brothers and sisters in the distnce so I wouldn't have to paint so much damn water.
I'm loving this fish series. Who would have guessed how far you could take an inspiration like Roman mosaic fish? I love the background fish--are they going to be mosaic or realistic? Although I loved your background water, too; the background was as fascinating as the fish!
There doesn’t appear to be much color pencil work on the fish. Is that still to come? Hope the little fish get the mosaic treatment; otherwise I’m thinking crackers....and so much damn water? I thought the background held the most interest for you....good start, far from finished, imo....
Looks good. And so does the rest of the family in the background. The fish series is going places.
