Having watched the Olympics, I fell in love with Short Track Racing. I thought it would be perfect for Yupo-that the movement could be captured easier. I was wrong. I’m going to try looser on other skaters. 5 X 12.

I kind of love the hockey painting. I don’t know what’s supposed to be happening, but I love the colors and all the arms and legs! Kudos to you for taking on such a complex subject. Really love how the shoes, especially the laces are painted and the dried hydrangea blossoms. The color palettes are great, really soft and wispy.
ReplyDeleteI love the skaters. I'm seeing the moment before or after the race when the skaters are gathering and getting into position. And the panorama size works perfectly. The bottom sketches have such a cohesive color palette and that blue rim on the bowl is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo do you slide off your shoes with the laces tied because it is easier to untie them when they are not on your feet? Me too. Nice casual air about that. I can see you sitting in a lawn chair just behind them in your stocking feet, legs crossed at the knees and your charming wife handing you one of those semi exotic cocktails that you guys favor.
