Had big plans to work on exercises in Portrait Painting in Watercolor by Charles Reid. Instead, did two little 3x5s in moleskin book. Little cottage on our road for sale.
I love both of these too! Not your usual style, but I like the way they’re painted — the loose watercolor style, letting the colors mix and fade and bloom. They do remind me of Charles Reid.
Greeta, these are lovely! I don't know if it's the Moleskine paper or what, but the way that paint goes down is just exquisite.
ReplyDeleteThis little book sez 135# cold press 25% cotton. Paper doesn’t feel that soft until paint hits it.
