I haven't gotten a lot done this week at all. I'm still working on the portrait. Just when I thought I may have gone too dark on her face, I added the background and realized I needed even more color. There's a lot to be said for working the entire painting all together.
This is going to be a very vibrant portrait, I predict.

ReplyDeleteReally like the shades of red in the background And that slash of blue thru the window. Her skin tones look good to me, just her glasses need a little Something. It’s a great composition and a very arresting portrait. Everything adds to the story.
ReplyDeleteI like the lines in her face, particularly the long line from her nose and the extension of her mouth. She is looking quite defiant. What is she looking at?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what she's looking at. I think someone may have come into the room and said hello. But I really like the way she looks very strong, probably that great jawline.
