flora

Added just a touch of burnt orange and I think it perked it up.

The branches are too regular.  I will complicate the situation which will make it a little better, but mainly I am interested in my new favorite paint colors, indigo and gamboge.

  1. Love these! The touch of orange really made a difference...even though it's such a little touch. I like the second one a lot and agree that tweaking the branches will only help. Don't lose the sky holes, though! Those, and the faint blue branches behind the green ones, really give the foliage depth.

  2. Love the multidimensionality of the tree trunk in the top painting, in the second painting, the branches are too prominent. The rest of the tree needs to be brought up a bit in places, not all over, to compete. But heed Elaine’s advice….

  3. I think the first one could even handle a bit more orange. Like the first iteration of the piece. The coloring of the big tree is great. I agree with you about the 2nd painting. The tree branches need some refinement, but otherwise is looking pretty good. Yay for you and Yupo.

  4. I agree with Pat. More 🍊 would make it more vibrant.
