This is last week's tree, looked kind of tame and empty.
So I roughened it up a bit. This was the first session of that and I meant to do more, but when I looked at it the next day I decided it looked pretty good the way it is. May come back and do a little more on that lower landscape.
I've been back and forth on this much of the week. Right now it looks disturbingly like a gum drop, but I have a plan. Sorta.
That first one is much better, I agree. I like the way the branches work with the foliage. Before they were too uniform. I think the lower landscape is fine as is. The action is in the tree. I'm eager to see your plan for the giant gum drop. Does it involve roughening the edges and adding sky holes?
ReplyDeleteGreat improvement on the tree. I think I liked the more vibrant red, but I liked texture the way you did it. Maybe clean up the top of the red structures like sunshine.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the second version of the tree has much improved in color, shape and relationship with the leaves. And the gum drop tree does need some help to loosen up along with the ground cover, but you know how to do that.
