I agree about wearing bright colors in the snow. Your subject really makes that point. The composition on the first one is excellent. Also, the colors in the snow and beyond the trees. Love it! I'm a big fan of your Facebook series. You really get a sense of place—and the textures are wonderful.
Nice work on both paintings. Love the trees on the snow scene. Like the way you captured the different textures on the shopper - the hat, the scarf, the hair, the coat, all nicely painted. And of course tennis shoes and probably no socks....like the background details too.
