That's beautiful! Love the sky, the bare trees and the snow. Just little touches that make you feel the lakefront. And I can't believe how big Emile is!
I don't know. Looks kind of sad to me. Like on the way over he didn't realize that the beach wasn't always summer and now he is wondering where is all the sand.

Anyways it’s an interesting composition and you’ve captured Emile looking all bundled up and straining to move or wondering which way to go first. I like the sparseness of the trees and the wide open spaces; gives just a little edginess to the painting.
