Alan Summer 2026-4

I finished this painting of the view looking towards Biloxi on the Mississippi coast. On coldpress 140#

This is a view from Truman looking north from the A train stop. It’s in my hot press sketchbook. Somehow the paper got damaged so I’m just going to have some fun with it by trying anything I can imagine. Got a lot of work to do but I have some ideas.

  1. Love that purple cloud. And I know that place—I think I actually prefer the olive to the target. The bright red seems like it could be a little heavy and here you have a path of light greens across the scene.

  2. Pretty much what I see 35 Saturday mornings around 7. Why do you call it the A train?

  3. Used to be an a-train stop wasn’t it?

  4. Two very different cityscapes…and they both work!
