Looks like you have a theme going. Both of those paintings feel so relaxing...and what better way to enjoy the mellow than in the dress/burnoose/djellaba. Looking good, Alan! About the paintings, I like the subtle palette you've chosen to surround those reds. They both have the feel of heavy summer air.
I have to admit it, Alan wears it well. Those cosmos look sharp, but maybe those two umbrellas on the left could have kept their bright redness even if not all of them are visible.
Summertime and the living is easy! Love the curve of the table and the precision with which those drinks are painted. But I also like the quickness of the North Pond sketch with those barely there umbrella reflections. Two very different styles but they both work.
