I don’t know what else to do with this bottle painting on Yupo. I wasn’t going to put any verbiage on the bottles but it needed them. I don’t know if it’s done but I’m keeping an open mind about that.
I finished the clock tower at the lakefront. It’s on 140# rough but I’m going to try a much looser version on Yupo.
Touched up this trading card view of sunset on a Michigan lake.

About 15 years ago I was painting some bottles as part of my boffo Ten Cat Show, and I had the same problem with the about ten bottles with empty labels. I thought and thought and in the end I painted a cat on every one. The class, and I think I specifically remember you, were, um, unimpressed. But I don't have it anymore, could have been bought, could have been lost, but either way it is no longer jamming the plastic shelving in my bedroom. So I considered it a success.
ReplyDeleteYour buildings need a touch of Burchfield.
That is no sunset, that is a burger in one of those fancy dance joints where they shove the stuff between too teeny buns.
If I could paint like Burchfield you’d never see me again. But I’ll try in the next version.
