Here’s 2 5 X 7 pen and ink sketches from around the cottage that I added watercolor washes to.
This is the shed behind the cottage along with the clothes line
And this is the meadow behind the cottage with my neighbors garden and new outbuilding.
Some friends saw my paintings of my granddaughters dogs and offered to pay me to paint theirs. But I didn’t feel right taking their money and Pat said I needed more practice painting dogs so I did these 9 X 12 coldpress ones.
Time to return to Yupo. This is the beginning of a sunset at the end of my alley. We’ll see what happens.
Well done Alan, and good to see you on the right end of a paintbrush. Good job on the shed, I like that fire engine red shed and those tormented trees. Love the trees behind the meadow. Is that purple thing a shadow on the yappy dog? Looks like something he is wearing. Like Man's Best Friend and his background. What can I do for you now Master? I don't think there is any point in commenting on a yupo until after it is done.
ReplyDeleteYes, glad to see you back. I really like the palette on the first painting, but the colors in the trees on the second painting make my heart happy. Love the dogs! They have personalities and are immediately recognized as well-loved good boys. As for the Yupo, I am more and more aware that it's not over until it's over—so no kudos or words of warning at this stage.
