 I'm calling Spinderella done.  Maybe a little overdone, but then I never know when I'm done until I overdo it,

 I haven’t done anything to this since class except look at it and wonder if it’s done…. I know, I know, the tree trunk….

Here’s my xmas gift From my son Andrew, also my biggest critic…it’s for appetizers altho I’m tempted to use it for paints….

 Added a bit more since class,  Her head is too square.  Looking back a the photo I am painting from her head is square, but still that doesn't make it right.

I spent the rest of the morning playing with textures.... and eating sweets. Yes, I'm still on a sugar high, but the homemade treats were well worth it!

It's our last class of the year and we're basking in a day of good art, good friends and good cookies. Not to mention the satisfaction of learning to use the camera timer.

I finished the quickie of the view from a Lison balcony. I'm happy with the glow of the lights on the buildings.

I started a snowscape on Saturday. I want to let the negative space do a lot of the work. Let's see if I can keep my brush out of the white areas!

I got a lot done today and am very close to finishing this quiet corner of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Courtyard. One more day should do it, I think.

I wanted to do something quick and loose, so I started a landscape from a photo my son Daniel took from his balcony in Lisbon.

 Added the legs this morning.  The  background will be a veined leaf though I will use some of Spanky's patterns in the leaf.

It's only a beginning (and a rather rough one at that). In case you can't tell what's happening, it's a small bit of the Isabella Stewart Gardner courtyard garden, featuring a statue among various green plants, trees and ground cover. Come back next week to see more..although I don't plan to take this much further than a sketchy impression.

Heading towards New Year

 I’m done with my Waveland painting. I like the gentleness  

My grandson Emmet on Yupo. It doesn’t quite look like him yet but I’m working on it. 

And this is his mother on 140# Arches. The dreaded small portrait where 1/64th of an inch in something like pupil placement means success or failure. I like the start though.
