Here it is, the last class of the Spring II term (although you really can't tell it by the weather). It's time for final assessments and commentary.
Unfortunately, the whole first half of the video is missing! So you won't be able to see how Marge succeeded in her intention to play with acrylic abstracts, how Elaine O. did indeed paint vacation photos, and that Dorothy Eileen truly mastered diaphanous fabrics—and spread that love to the rest of the class. You won't see Susan's colorful flowers or Ellen's colorful dogs. You'll miss Ron's portrait drawings, Ken's abstract and his new haircut. Sorry about that. Be assured you would have enjoyed it.
We'll be off for the next two weeks and return on June 11. Be sure to join us then. Afraid you'll miss us? You don't have to—click on the some of the links to the right to get your weekly art fix. May we suggest Truman College Artists? You can see some of our paintings and drawings, visit with old friends and even revisit some of our exhibitions. Or visit Daily Creative Practice for inspiration to make your own art. Meanwhile, we'll use the break for some videographer training! LOL
Enjoy the paintings below and see you soon!

It feels like Fall today. No matter, can't stop us from having a good time! But it's not all frivolity. Oh, no! We also engaged in deep, thoughtful discussions about cave paintings, cave dwellers, end times, and single-celled scientific organisms. How's that for a fun way to spend a Saturday morning?
Now it's time for another edition of "Getting to Know Us." Guess who's having a birthday today? (Okay, that's almost too easy. Look for clues in the video and in the art composite.) Can you name all the states in the location photos? (Be careful. Those rivers may be a bit too tropical to qualify!)
And here's an important life announcement. Ken's got two new cats! Here they are, Sweetie and Buddy! See you next week!

Seems to be the season for self-portraits this week. Okay, just one, but see if you can spot it. And we have more vacation pictures this week--both Elaines! Can you tell whose vacation is "fresh" and whose is "vintage"? Flowers in bloom count as the current event of the week and there's a collection of acrylics (watercolor's hip and modern cousin) for your viewing pleasure. It really is fun getting to know us, isn't it?
