Ah, I totally understand the lamp now. And I like how its softer look puts it in a better place in the painting's hierarchy. I love those peaches! You've got the fuzzy feel and the sunlight hitting them just right--not to mention all the colors that are in a good, ripe peach. Also, the way the lip of the plate curls up is sweet.
In truth, I didn’t have any problems with the lamp before. Reminded me of a shade I once had. Love the freedom displayed with the blue plate. Shadows are right too.
