May just have to go back and make it less frenetic, but I dunno sometimes making corrections kills the spirit of the original.
So I made the tree on the right that just was not fitting in I made it a ghost tree and gave it some ghost buddies. The best I can do because I have to move on.
I hope you don't run out of poem before your series is finished. This series is promising. I think the first one is less frenetic and more "too much of the same," if that makes sense. I know you think that tree on the right doesn't fit in the second one, but I like it a lot. There's something delicate about it and you get a sense of depth and atmosphere. You may want to darken the trunks a bit, but the foliage is lovely as is. In that same way, I can't wait to see what you do with the last one and I'm hoping you keep it soft and atmospheric. Anyway, keep the trees coming.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember the album Bare Trees by Fleetwood Mac? Your third panting reminds me the album cover. It’s a lovely start and maybe that’s as far as you go on that one. The second one is nice too, but the ghost trees need a little more heft to stand up to all that greenery. The first one is a little too symmetrical but is really nicely painted. Great series…
ReplyDeleteI like the second one a lot. I like the ghost trees just the way they are. If I had one criticism it would be that the trees are too even on the outside. Needs more ins and outs and some sky holes.
ReplyDeleteThe first is a bit too cartoon like for me. The other two look promising. The ghostly trees contrast well with the bushy ones.
